The combination of gold and deep red symbolizes passion, refinement, and high-end allure — qualities that define Bloome’s target audience. The minimalist flower emblem reinforces the brand’s organic yet premium personality, while the clean typography ensures balance and legibility across print and digital formats.

This cookbook project showcases a modern and elegant editorial layout that balances structure with warmth. Each spread was carefully designed to emphasize clarity, readability, and visual appetite through the use of refined typography, spacious composition, and high-quality food imagery.
Design Approach:

The layout follows a consistent grid system with a clean serif–sans serif type pairing to create hierarchy between recipe titles, ingredients, and directions. Warm cream backgrounds and muted accent colors give the pages a sophisticated, approachable feel. Images are integrated to complement the text and create visual rhythm across the spreads.

Origin: The Unfolding of the Big Bang Theory — Editorial Design

Design Approach: 

Each spread was built around strong visual contrasts—light versus dark, explosion versus void—to reflect the tension between chaos and creation. A futuristic sans-serif typeface and gradient-infused titles evoke a modern, scientific aesthetic, while the deep-space photography enhances depth and realism. The layout uses asymmetry and layering to mirror the expanding nature of the cosmos.

Overview:

This packaging redesign for Lay’s focuses on creating a modern, eco-friendly identity that merges bold flavor expression with environmental responsibility. The concept reimagines the classic Lay’s look through a clean, city-inspired visual system and a 100% compostable bag design.
Design Approach:

Each flavor—Classic, Barbecue, and Sour Cream & Onion—features a distinctive color palette paired with urban skyline silhouettes to reflect the brand’s widespread appeal and global reach. The design balances familiarity with freshness by maintaining brand recognition while introducing sustainability and storytelling elements on the back panel. The packaging eliminates aluminum, replacing it with plant-based materials to support eco-conscious consumers.

The Hanging Truth — Book Cover Design

Design Approach:

The cover uses a stark juxtaposition of warm and cold tones — a fiery forest representing chaos and hidden danger, against a shadowy, decaying house symbolizing mystery and fear. The distressed typography conveys tension and unease, while the rope and forest imagery subtly hint at the novel’s central theme of truth and execution. The back cover continues the eerie aesthetic, maintaining narrative consistency through lighting, tone, and texture.

This project involved designing a suspense-driven book cover for The Hanging Truth by D. Morrin, a psychological thriller centered on buried secrets, fear, and gothic atmosphere. The goal was to capture the haunting tone of the story through strong contrast, visual symbolism, and cinematic composition.
